GENOCIDE OF THE UNBORN

This morning my pastor asked me if I would speak for a few minutes at each of the Sunday services this week. He would like me to give a quick testimony to rally some more participants for January 22 bus trip to the annual March For Life inWashington D.C. Pastor Rick knows my passion for this subject and the only problem I will face is trying to stay within the time limit he gave me.
I think that I could probably write a book about my feelings about abortion and one day I may. You see, to me there never has been any "debate" over the abortion issue. Just under 25 years ago my son was born. Joshua was born just under 21 weeks into my wifes pregnancy, he weighed 10.5 ounces and fit in the nurses hand. But the key word in that last sentence was "born". He was born, he cried, he felt pain, he was one of Gods children.
The bible tells us we are weaved by God in our mothers womb, who are we to end that life because it is not convienient.
To date the genocide ofthe unborn in this country has taken the lives of over 50 million babies or approximately one life for every seven people alive in our county. Might one of those babies been the person who would have found a cure for cancer? We will never know, but surely all Christians should be able to come together on this issue.
So I would ask you, when you are in your prayer time, lift this issue up to the Lord. Pray for all of the lives that have been touched and affected by this travesty, and pray that are leaders have a softening of their heart and do the right thing.

SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS ON LOVE AND FORGIVENESS

The most difficult things in life are made easier when your love for the Lord is put first in your life.
You can spend your entire life studying the Bible and still only scratch the surface.
Mark 12:30 (King James Version)
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
If you can just get that one covered, you'll be in pretty good shape.
Forgiveness can be really difficult
Ephesians 4:32 (King James Version)
32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
God forgave me, that's a pretty awesome thought, what better way of sharing the love of God could there be than forgiving others, yet forgiveness may be the most sacrificial of all acts

The day after CHRISTmas

The day after Christmas is upon us and here I sit amongst wrapping papaer and toys watching the events unfolding in the latest terrorist attempt on our country. At times I think about where are country is heading and it frightens me. Although I know the Lord has it all under control I wonder just what He must be thinking about the current state of morality in our country.
But that is for another day today I'd like to talk about my Christmas. I ran a 102 fever through Christmas Eve and Christmas day, missed out on my inlaws annual Christmas eve party(which probably saved me from another five pounds). I had a lovely Christmas morning with my wife, daughter and grandchildren, then dragged myself into the truck to do the 110 mile drive to my folks home. I sat there moaning for three hours and drove back home.
To add to the festivities this is by far the worst financial situation I have found my self in during my adult life and I spent a good amount of time grieving my grandmother who had passed a little over a year ago.
YES THIS WAS THE BEST CHRISTMAS I EVER HAD.
No I haven't been at the spiked eggnog, it's just that this year more so than any Christmas I can remember my main focus was on CHRIST and the awesome gift He gave to us. Isn't it strange that we celebrate our Lords birthday by giving each other gifts. I,d rather think we celebrate His birth by showing each other His love
11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. Luke 2:11
Thank You Jesus
